Thonet S 60 Cantilever Chair

The used S 60 cantilever chair from Thonet  is modern and elegant. A suitable chair for the meeting room, waiting room or other business space. The seat shell made of molded plywood is connected to the tubular steel frame via the armrests. Milled openings increase air circulation and visually structure the backrest. The armrests, covered with a soft plastic, taper towards the back and are connected to the seat shell. The diameter of the steel tube is kept to a minimum, which makes this comfortable chair lightweight and gives an elegant, clear appearance.

The Thonet S 60 was designed by Glen Oliver Löw. He opened his own design studio in Hamburg in 2000 and has been developing products for Thonet and Steelcase since then. He also teaches product design and development at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg.
